Connecting with a like-minded community and working with a health coach provides the framework to discover new ways of living well with this condition. 

Yes. We firmly believe lifestyle is at the heart of MS care. If you are not using disease modifying therapies for MS for any reason, we feel it is even more crucial for you to tap into the power of lifestyle interventions using this program to improve symptoms and quality of life.  

Absolutely. The distinction between this program and working one-on-one with a provider is that we provide the HOW of turning recommendations into lasting habits using robust education, health coaching, and a supportive community.

We feel strongly that we each must be in charge of our own healing process. Therefore, we have designed a framework to introduce lifestyle strategies in a manner that puts you in the driver’s seat of choosing what suits your unique needs. To ensure success, our health coach is available to answer your questions in the group forums. You may also submit questions to Dr. Susan through the website “Dr. Susan Q&A”. Finally, Dr. Susan and our health coach will be available during the Saturday Gathers via Zoom for general questions.

Please keep in mind that TRUE Medicine is an educational program with group health coaching. Therefore, we are unable to provide medical advice, and our program is not a substitute for medical care.

Attendance at the online Zoom meetings (Gathers) is voluntary but highly recommended to ensure your success in the program. Meetings are held 9-10 AM PT  year round and not recorded due to confidentiality.

Due to confidentiality within online Zoom meetings and forums, only registered participants can attend.

The same confidentiality agreement will apply to all those present during the Zoom meetings and online forums.

We do not believe in a one-size-fits-all diet approach. Instead, we present the general principles of nutrition and support you to personalize the details to your unique preferences and situation.

You will receive information and resources to create your own food plan. Interacting with the health coach and your peer community will provide you with additional resources to support your transition to a healthier diet.

We strongly believe in the power of lifestyle strategies as the foundation of good health. While the judicious use of supplements may enhance the benefits of lifestyle habits already in place, we do not require supplements as part of your self-care plan. 

Instructional videos, Zoom meetings, and group health coaching are conducted in English. A reasonable command of the English language will help you get the most out of your interaction with your peers during the online Zoom meetings.
